Just finished my first box frame light box for a customer who’s little girl is mad on frozen, Designed myself from images online and put together.Lights are mounted on a A4 MDF sheet then made pine box frame and put a frosted acetate sheet then cut out pattern on 1/4 inch Baltic birch plywood with 2/0 spiral blade and stained with danish oil ,finished off with a glitter lacquer (can’t really see glitter in picture but it’s there )Thanks for looking any tips for making these again would be appreciated as it’s my first I’m sure there is room for improvement
Thanks Danny , I originally had the whole background green on the black but just thought it was too much so decided with the grey background instead just helps the name pop out a bit more,
I’m starting to get back into it slowly after my illness earlier in the year stopped me from doing anything
I had several blood clots in my legs and groin and found out my inferior Vena Cava is missing which is the main vein that takes blood back from your legs to your heart spent 10 days in hospital and could not walk so I’m slowly getting about a bit better now still have to use a stick and wheelchair but at least I feel I can do a bit more even if it’s just 20min cutting .
hope your keeping well take care
Dan

Thanks Dick, I love doing tiger portraits they are by far my favourite animal it’s such a great feeling when you take off the paper and reveal what you have made
I was wondering why that picture went like that as it’s from my camera roll but downloaded from my website,it’s a bit strange why it’s done that sorry,I have re done it now so no download required.

Thanks Marg,it’s been hard getting back into my workshop but now I can do a few days a week it’s trying to stop me doing more as I have no self restraint (that’s what the wife is for ) but I’m enjoying it when I can and that’s what matters I’m back making man Glitter hope your well
Thanks Brenda,I am trying to do a few bits but I know I need to take it easy but it’s hard to stop when your enjoying yourself and then I put myself out of action for a few days ,but it’s worth it to be back doing what I love hope your well
Thanks Dave,it’s been hard for me to get back into it after having to take so much time away from it due to ill health but hopefully I can start doing a bit more just take each day as it comes , hope your well ,take care Dan
