Hi Dick thanks I know what you mean the first large project I did was the tigers face ‘The Big Cat’ and it took me a few weeks to complete but when I did I was so proud of it yes there were a few mistakes but only I notice them really. It was the same with this one but it’s a great feeling peeling off the pattern to reveal what you have spent hours on and seeing it properly for the first time ,thanks again Dan.

Hi Frank, I know exactly what you mean it is a very busy looking pattern so I will definitely go with your suggestion and do the tiger and Cubs a different stain so they stand out more ,thank you very much for the input I appreciate all suggestions on this forum as every day I learn something new thanks again.
  5. I did have second thoughts half way through if I’m honest I had been cutting forever and not seeming to get anywhere near finished lol!! But it was worth persevering as I am happy with the end result,nice and simple one next I think cheers Dan
  6. Thank you very much stoney,I used to hate working with spiral blades it took me ages to get used to them I only went back to them about 6months ago and perseverance has paid off I love using them now cheers Dan
  7. Thank you,yes some of the holes were so close together especially round the Cubs faces but just took my time and went real slow!!! cheers Dan

Tiger& Cubs pattern Made using 1/4 inch Baltic birch plywood ,and black mount board for backer, used a number 2/0 spiral blade,lots of holes on this one with very small intricate cutting took me about 18-20hours to cut but I think it turned out well just need to finish sanding and stain it and it’s good to go all feedback appreciate thanks Dan

  14. Thank you for trying again I really appreciate it,those shadows are horrible,I tried to photoshop but to no avail just too dark around the eyes ,thanks again ,dan .I am trying to get another photo but I will be cutting it fine intime for completing before xmas

Hi all,thank you for taking the time to read this. my grandad passed away and I want to to make a portrait of him as a gift to family members this year for Christmas just thought it would be a nice way to remember him by and keep his memory alive,any help would be appreciated,thank you in advance I know the effort that gets put in to making the patterns I can't thank you all enough.

  22. Thanks Denny I have watched a couple of YouTube videos on making my own jig so I might give that a go
  23. Thank you , I thought it would be easy but it was a learning curve lol I just need to make myself a jig so they are exactly the same sizes and 45 degrees,I'm sure my next one will be a bit better
