  2. Thank you , I thought it would be easy but it was a learning curve lol I just need to make myself a jig so they are exactly the same sizes and 45 degrees,I'm sure my next one will be a bit better

  8. Just finished this project for my mums birthday at the end of the month ,she loves Elephants and I saw this H Botas pattern and thought this would be just right. Made using 1/4inch BB Plywood using a # 1 spiral blade ,stained with danish oil then a clear varnish, Also made my first frame ,you think it would be easy to make a frame but it was a learning curve lol! My joints are not perfect but for a first attempt I thought it was ok. Frame made of oak also stained with danish oil and clear varnish then used black mount board for backer ,thanks for looking

  17. Thank you very much I agree I much prefer the clock I enjoyed making this one,the rose was ok but very fragile and I don't like doing lettering as you can spot mistakes easier lol!!

  21. Made these as a gift for my mum and dad,both Steve good patterns. I had some oak worktop left over from my kitchen so used it up. first attempt at a clock i think it turned out ok, Also added a stand to the Mother rose as it was quite fragile. Finished with danish oil and 3 coats of clear varnish.
  22. Thanks Denny very kind of you to say so . I see some of the projects on here and could only wish to one day be anywhere near close to the quality of workmanship that you good people produce. I just need to take advantage of all the help and tips and resources available on this platform everyone is so kind and helpful .But the main thing is I am having fun so who thought learning could be fun !!   23. He sure is ,I think these would sell just need to keep practising on the lettering as that's one of my downfalls.Thats why I prefer patterns without letters because you can hide your mistakes lol But I will keep going with it and I'm sure I'll get there
