  1. thanks for all that created patterns for this booklet very nice
  2. heres a few i have done and hang evey year on my door
nice designs but no time for this year .. would think about it for next year .. i like complex patterns my self
  3. i learned to use both ,, switch back forth all the time if.. finding a number 1 or 0 replaces the straight blades i cut much faster and steady now with spirals flying dutchmans are my new favorite ... don't notice any different from flat to spirals .. but could cut a little faster with spirals working on the owls from the new scroller magizine ,,, but i do a lot of portrait type cutting trying to go back to basics but i like the challange and the end results of harder patterns
  4. never heard of laser ply .. but no matter what wood you use it all come with a warning on the saw dust is harmful to your health ... so you will figure out just like i did in the beginning what is good and what is not for fret work ... good luck and scroll on ..
  5. you sure that is Baltic birch not just birch plywood ,,, were did you buy that at hope not a box store ... you need to find a cabinet shop or similar place it usually come in 5 foot by 5 foot sheets ... birch plywood will do that.... never had the russian baltic birch do that
  6. like i read from an Charles Dearing said to use two sided clear tape in the middle of your projects... go on his website wooden visions and read some of his pointers plus he has some awesome patterns i you want some tough ones ... or i usually tape like a square pattern in the middle works out good less vibration in between layers good luck
