  3. Excellent job, Kris. I'm sure your friend will be pleased.
  4. If you find out what type of wood it is, please let us know. Thanks.
  5. Great job. Very detailed.
  6. Nice clean cuts. Great job!
  7. Great job Eric.
  8. Put all your gear in the sleigh and then harness up the reindeer!
  9. I built my stand from 2X4s and used a 1 1/2 inch thick top from a repurposed table. I did put a layer of tool box drawer liner between the saw and table. The liner is from HF and was very inexpensive. Just to add, I started with a 3/4 inch plywood top and the vibration was intense. That's why I switched to the 1 1/2 inch top. Now the vibration is zero and I'm using a cheap WEN saw. I learned that a solid base is the key!
  10. Hi Louie and welcome from SE North Carolina. I'm a new scroller and have learned a lot from the members of the Village. Please post you work. Would love to see it.
  11. If you check with the manufacture of your drill press they usually have aftermarket chucks with the correct arbor you would need. Some of these will close to zero. If you know what arbor you need you can pull them up on Amazon. Seems the most common arbor is the JT33-MT1 or JT33-MT2
  12. Turned out very nice, Tony. You and your son did a great job.
  13. I use a Dremel plunge router also with a #60. I've got the new 4300 Dremel and haven't had any problem with power at a lower speed. If I have areas in the pattern that will accept a larger bit I'll use my drill press. I also have the smaller chuck to adapt my drill press to a smaller bit but found it didn't center as Ray experienced. When I want to use a bit in my drill press that is smaller than what it will clamp, I'll wrap a small copper wire around the base of the small bit and insert it into the drill press chuck. That seems to work pretty good.
  14. Great projects I'm sure your daughter will love.
  15. Very nice job, Dick. Love your choice of wood.
  16. Excellent as always, Tbow. I especially like the finish on Elvis.
  17. Very nice, Brent.
  18. The cutting itself is actually 11X14. Thanks!
  19. That looks very clean, Kris. Like the different colors on the backer for the different areas. Great job.
  20. Excellent, Wichita. I sure can't tell which is top or bottom. I have to be careful when cutting two layers of 1/4 inch.
  21. Wow! Fantastic cutting and painting!
  22. it seems the consensus is a rough frame. I agree so it doesn't distract from the clean portrait. Very nice cutting by the way.
  23. I agree he is talking about a scroll saw but it is a Dremel. The bushings I had replaced were on a rotary tool but hopefully Dremel will be kind enough to send him bushings for his scroll saw as they were for sending me the bushings for the rotary tool. Sorry for the confusion.
  24. Ditto on what Ray said. I had one quit and contacted Dremel. They actually sent me a set for my Dremel model free of charge. I say I had one... that is until the wife claimed it as a nail file for the dogs. Bought me a new on and let her keep that one.
  25. Very nice, Chris. I'm sure your daughter will love it!
