  1. Those are really neat. Are the patterns available or are they patterns you made? My wife is in a dog training club and they would be good projects to make for fund raisers.
  2. You did a great job on this project, Alex. The cuts are super clean and the lines are straight as an arrow. Fantastic.
  3. Excellent job, Dick. Some of those letters look as though they might have been tricky. I'm sure your son-in-laws will be much appreciative.
  4. If you used flat blades you need to check your table top for blisters! As much spinning as had to take place with all those cuts, there will either be blisters or you wore a hole through it!. Outstanding job.
  5. Not bad for a day at the office. Congrats! Hopes that next week will be even better.
  6. You did a great job, John. And the ornaments are nice and clean.
  7. As Danny said, very clean cuts. Great job!
  8. Fantastic job, Frank. I've used pine for a lot of my projects. I have found that the grain in pine will push you off line if you're not careful. Anyway, it doesn't look like you had any problems with this piece.
  9. Welcome from SE North Carolina. I commend you for you efforts with the young lads. I've found scrolling to be something like fishing. It doesn't take much to set the hook. You'll have these boys begging their parents for their own scroll saw. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask this forum quests when needed. There is a wealth of knowledge among the members. Also, be sure to share photos of your, and the boys, projects.
  10. Nice work, Ralph.
  11. Excellent, Charlie. I pray this brings her comfort. Great job.
  12. You've been busy, Todd. Very nice. Your tree will likely be decorated only with scroll saw projects this year.
  13. What a fantastic idea and great projects. I'm sure she will cherish them and definitely find a place to hang them. Congratulations on 60 years together!
  14. Very nice, Kevin. I'll be looking forward to seeing some walnut projects from you!
  15. Lot of nice projects there! Congrats on a successful show.
  16. Wow! That red really makes it pop. Great job!
  17. You did a great job, Eric.
  18. Great job, Dick. I had a little trouble with a piece of wood that built up dust and I couldn't see the lines. The blower was working properly. Turned out the wood I had selected had gotten wet a few days earlier and there was moisture in the wood. It wasn't much but just enough to cause the dust to stick and not blow away. I'm sure if I would have had a stronger blower, it would have worked fine but there was just enough moisture to cause it to stick around the blade and the saw blower wasn't enough to do the job.
  19. Early Christmas. Congratulations!
  20. Very nice, Kirk. I kinda see what your daughter was talking about but the angel stands out more and pulls my eyes back to that image. It's like one of those trick photos you see that has two pictures in one and you only see it after you stare at it long enough.
  21. Outstanding Brent!
  22. Wonderful piece. I'm actually working on the very same pattern. Planning on doing all of Jim's "Americana" series. Unfortunately I only get one day a week to cut and with the weather turning cooler (my shop isn't heated) I'm limited on the time I can spend at the saw.
  23. I agree with several others who have said to keep the outside a natural color. You may want to use an oil to help bring out the grain. Once dry you can coat it with a clear like Frank suggest. Regardless, you did a great job.
  24. Wow! Nice! I'm glad you were looking for something easy. Lord knows what you would have picked if it had been something difficult. Apparently I'm cutting way to slow because that would have taken me a couple days working nonstop.
  25. RIP Scrollsaw703
