Saw this posted someplace and had to cut it. Cherry, walnut and a bit of cherry. Pattern was from Acutabove Woodworking.
Hope grand son will have plenty of good playtime
I am stack cutting 2 3/8" soft maple. I've tried a #2 spiral and it just didn't seem to have the " strengthen" to do it. a #5 spiral made the kerf to big, Even having trouble deciding on a straight blade. The pattern is dense, but not that bad.
No I understand it can be scary. I did use Minwax wood hardener on most of it. It was very difficult to turn smooth ( at least for me). More sanding than I desire
Doing some fret work and am doing the hair which is just a line. How do you do it without the holes showing when blade is thinner . Which if it wasn't it would not go thru the hole. Pic of front and back of what I am working on. How would you handle it?
I am just starting to try to use Inkscape to make a pattern. Here is the photo as well as an svg file (not sure if it will open). This is as close I was able to get to a workable pattern. Is this close? Also do you fix all the areas to avoid pieces not connecting on the program or do you have to go back and do it on a copy?
Thanks in advance
Brian
