Hi from North Wales, have a look on facebook etc and see if you can find a Aldi scroll saw for sale, they were cheap BUT are made by Scheppach and worth double what aldi sold them for i have a second hand one and works a treat for me, i did start with a B and Q one which was stuck in the shed for years couldnt get the hang of it but once i learned about blades and such it works fine but the aldi one has a speed control which helps, the clarke brand are probably made in the same factory by the look of them, UK machine supplies store, Machine Mart just thinking as you mentioned Clarke? hope it helps Misty

Hey Guys, bit to cold here in th uk to potter in the man cave, plus other stuff getting in the way, ( so much for having plenty of time when retired,) so not upto much on the bench. still getting my head around inkscape, with all the you tube lessons, (indoor in the warm job) any how finaly got it stuck together, im happy with it,

So last night i was scrolling though the topics, and noticed that Paul (grandpa) makes his patterns with photo shop, so this question is more aimed at him, unless there is others who use it too, i have cs5 and use it for most things im upto even photos , i have messed with inkscape but need to learn it more where as ps im pretty good at it, So Paul, i would love to know your work flow, for the way you turn photos to patterns, easy steps though my brain is getting on , sorry if the topic has been done before. Hi Guys, just started getting into this scroll swing malarky, think im liking it too, now im retired have a some time on my hands, had a scroll saw for years gathering dust after trying it and thought something was wrong with it not cutting striaght , so decided its time to play, found out if you use a decent blade it gets better, and take your time, so maybe i will post some of the results, cheers Misty
