  1. Thanks, this was new to me. The majority of the time I’m doing inside cuts, so when I release tension, it’s not something I usually look at. This turned out being a 2 fold problem. The bulk of the problem was the tension adjustment. The other part of the problem was that the bottom clamp nut had backed out slightly causing the hex nut to recede and the blade was slipping slightly but not enough to for the blade to slip completely out. Thanks to everyone for their help.
  2. Thanks, the bend is not uncommon, if you look at the teeth, you will see some facing straight while others facing left. Others have suggested a tension issue, I will look at the tension.
  3. I have been using the Flying Dutchman UR blades on a Dewalt for years. When the blade became dull or worn, it would slow down its cutting or break. I recently purchased a Pegas and some Pegas MGT blades. One thing I'm noticing on my blades that after a turn, many times the Pegas MGT do not straighten, but remained in a somewhat twisted state which causes the cutting to drift. This has happened on #3 and #5 blades. I have a picture attached, hopefully someone will be able to make it out and provide an explanation on why it is doing this. I never had the problem with the FDUR blades. Thanks in advance, Bob
  4. Since its been about 1 1/2 years since you added the Bora wheels and ample time to use them, have you had any issues with vibration or stability or anything else? I am considering ordering some to put on my stand as well. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks, Gwinnett is about 50 miles from me. I would consider the distance, but not the traffic.
  6. How would you go about finding a scroll saw club if there is one in your area. I am in the vicinity of Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding County Georgia.
  7. My first saw was a Dremel 1371, later upgraded to the Dewalt DW788, just recently placed an order for the Pegas 21”. Hoping that the Pegas will be the last saw I ever need to purchase (I’m 67 now).
  8. This must have just been released. I have both Bauer and Hercules tools from Harbor Freight and have had success with them. If I didn’t already have a scroll saw I would definitely consider it.
  9. Thanks Scrapple, I finally decided to push the launch button on the upgrade. With Denny Knappen's help, I ordered the Pegas and hope to have delivered near the end of September. I am looking for to it and like you, I will not have any regrets.
  10. Sorry about your sadness for the loss of your sister. That is an awesome tribute to your sister. I 'm sure she's smiling at you now for that.
  11. Thanks for the response, I am so sorry for the sadness that you have been going through. What a rough time these past couple of years must have been. I hope that you will recover and get through this. Best of luck to you. Bob
  12. Jim, Thanks for the response. If you don’t mind me asking, what were the biggest adjustments with the upgrade? Any regrets? Thanks, Bob
  13. Jerry, Thanks for your response. I will probably break down and order the Pegas some time this week. I do have a question. On the Dewalt, I use an aftermarket brace to keep the arm up, when I release the brace after threading the hole on my project, the arm will lower on its own, making fretwork simple. As I understand it, the Pegas arm is self holding and you have to pull it down after threading each hole. Does that make a project with a lot of fretwork more cumbersome? Thanks in advance. Bob
  14. Hello everyone, I have been scrolling for about a year and wanted to get more involved with the hobby so I thought I would give the SSV a whirl. I have a Dewalt 788 and am considering an upgrade to the Pegas. All I read about the Pegas is so positive that I it comes across as the old “if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is”. Has anyone on here ever had to go back to Pegas about a problem? If so, how was the experience with customer support? Not trying to be a pessimist, but I would like to know the pros and cons of any product before I make the jump. Thanks, Bob
