  1. Has anyone cut polywood not plywood I got a half inch thick piece and want to cut out something to hang outside it looks like it is all plastic and no wood in it your thoughts on this thanks
  2. I like the chain idea with s hooks that way they could be moved up down or have on big piece in that spot
  3. You are way over thinking this bare wall sheet rock small ornaments to 8x10s wall is painted white 4 foot wide by 9 foot tall not interested in shelves just an easy way to hang them without hundreds of holes in the wall

I am running out of space and now I’m looking for a way to hang my scroll projects on the wall for displaying to sell i was thinking of a command hook at the top of the wall and use a fishing line with some kind of hooks (not sharp) on it about a foot apart what are you using and can you post a pic of it Thanks
  5. On the quick clamp on the hegner there is a set screw on the opposite side where should the set screw be set should it be set flush or in just a little to help hold the blade
  6. Gel stain is not supposed to be blotchy on plywood and oil would need to have lacquer over it or the oil bleeds out onto whatever it is touching
  7. I am thinking of staining a few pieces and there are so many small cuts and crevices if I was to use a gel stain how do you deal with getting the gel in and out of all the little openings
  8. There was something wrong with the plywood I cut a chunk off the other side of the sheet and it is cutting as it should
  9. I cut .25 inch regular birch plywood and it went easy
  10. I got some .25 inch BB and tried to stack cut two and is was like cutting cement I used #5 and #7 Flying Dutchman ultra reverse then I cut one layer and it still cut hard but was manageable Any thoughts as to why it is citing so hard
  11. I got a small price of Paduak from ocooch hardwoods just to try it out it didn’t cut any harder that birch plywood does it need some kind of finish or is the bare wood ok
  12. I am a month and a half into making thing and it is time to stop practicing and giving things away how much would you sell a snowflake for 3-4 inches tall
  13. I am getting some poplar logs cut in to 1 inch boards so I am looking at a jet drum sander to take them down to half inch and smooth them off any advise on this good bad about a jet drum sander
  14. I got some ultra reverse Flying Dutchman somewhere I watched a video how to tell which way was the right direction to install them there is a small notch or bump on one end is it supposed to be up or down looking at the teeth under a magnifier they are so small can’t tell the direction thanks
  15. I’m in need of a drill press full size and wondering if it has a .5 inch chuck is there a small Chuck that could be put in and taken out that would hold the very smallest blades i dont want to remove the half inch chuck but will fit in it
  16. Sounds like any wood will work for scrolling i just got a pile of cherry cut yesterday I think I will cut a birch and a poplar to add to my stash
  17. What kind of wood is your go to wood for scrolling i just got a bunch of cherry boards and thinking about what else would be good to scroll i can get birch hickory and poplar but I understand that when poplar is cut it will warp right off from the saw mill

  19. I am ordering some Flying Dutchman blades and I want to try some spiral blades what size and style fd would you suggest trying .25 inch Baltic birch .5 cherry .5 poplar

  21. 2 broke at the top clamp one at the bottom clamp yes the blades are from the assortment pack that came with the hegner when I tighten the tension it is 3 quarters of a turn I think it tightens up by itself cause when I put in a new blade I have to looosen it 2 or three turns
  22. I’m 90 miles away from the home deport that delivers and it took 2 weeks to get a tool box delivered from them
  23. I broke 3 #5 advanced machinery blades doing these two little birch plywood snowflakes is that about normal for beginner

Multimax 22 i adjusted the main arm I loosened the 2 Allen bolts underneath adjusted so the blade is in the center of the slot then loosened the motor and turned it on as it says in the instructions tightened it down and now there is a vibration ot the saw is on anything on the table will run away what did I do wrong in my adjustments
  25. Yea I know this is scroll saw but I want to get a jet band saw to re saw some boards down for scrolling has anyone ordered one from amazon free delivery what is your thoughts on this
