A bit easier, maybe, than my first (tree of life). Doing this for a niece’s wedding. Still need to finish the date. The initials and the date came from enlarging their announcement. Found the rings pic and traced it and made it scrollable. Doing this with #5 skip tooth blade. Drilled #58 (.043) holes. Cut on the Bauer 22” saw. A bit tight but working well so far. Thanks for looking. Comments, advice always welcome.
First ‘real’ project. Learned a bit in corners, blade tension and such. Using Olsen #7 crown tooth blades. My arm release mechanism made the job much easier with all the holes. Fun stuff!
Recently got one as well. Seems to be a great saw. I made a release mechanism for my pin. In my post on it (Bauer arm pin in the bragging rights) I believe it was Steve Good that answered with a video of a lever he did for it.
Wasn’t sure where to put this, so….. One of the things with the Bauer 22” saw is the arm pin being so far back. Some I’ve heard use a 2x4 to support it. I like to make gadgets, so here’s my crude set up. Have a ‘cleaner’ one in the works, but this is what I had on hand to play with to get the idea a visual.

Greetings. New scroller here. Been a machinist all my life and an arm chair woodworker. Haven’t done much do to my perfectionistic mindset! Have always thought scrolling looked like fun so….. Other hobbies are pen turning and some metal working and have tried some jewelry making. Still working full time at 65 but looking to add a side thing for when I retire to keep me out of trouble (if that’s possible!)
Bought a Bauer 22” new and set it up and made a couple of cuts to play. Sure I will be asking for tips and tricks as I go along.
