Nice work gator. I used to work in a plumbing wholesale business and you would be surprised how many times I heard something similar. It amazes me how some people get through life.
  2. nice job they look like a happy couple
  3. Here is another lathe project its a honey dipper with a captured ring on the end made out of cherry. The other picture is a wand my 14 yr. old son turned made out of red gum. He seen me turning and wanted to give it a try. Sorry about the picture quality.
  4. Ctutor is that the 2nd tool from the right. its probably both a dull tool and I didn't make a wide kerf.
  5. well I finally got my lathe. I spent sometime building a mobile stand for it before playing with it. I turned two little goblet looking things. I didn't really start out to make the first one they are not turned inside. I have a question I was trying to use the parting tool but all it did is start to burn. is there a reason for this is it a dull tool or me not knowing what to do. I ordered a sharping system ws2000 I hope it does the job I need it to here are some pics of stand and goblets

  15. I seen a similar clock in our tag and license office. I used gimp to make the Seminole pattern and gimp to make clock pattern( thanks to Travis's tutorials ). All I have to do is glue the two pieces together, figure out finish , and install clock mechanism. The Seminole is made out of 3/8" African mahogany and clock is made out of 3/8" birch its 10" in dia. I also added a pic of the one I got the ideal from
  16. I subscribe to scroll saw that fox publishing puts out .there's always good patterns in it with full-size pull out.
