  1. I'll go look but I think you are refering to the 40-690 which has the slot on the top. I don't think the 40-694 has that feature. Tool---never saw one. Like I said, I'll check the 40-694 for a slot in the top. I have both saws. I guess I'll take it apart.....
  2. I've tried my finger, finger nail, small screw driver, tweezers and an assortment of other things. I can't get the fuse out. Can I order the removal tool? If I take the saw apart, can I get to the fuse or the release tab?
  3. Semper Fidelis ! Always faithful (the motto of the US Marine Corps). Bulldogs are faithful. Very good cut!
  4. Welcome from me. Pleased to have you aboard.
  5. Bryan., That is the best introduction I have ever read. Perfect introduction showing the possibilities of owning "two' scroll saws. A real "LOL" and big smile on my face. A scroll saw is the perfect tool (IMHO). You cannot do all that a scrollsaw offers. Hey, and you know how to pump egos. Your Daughter and you have the support of all SSV

  12. I use all three methods: For large patterns, I promote "GLAD Press N Seal". It is clear so you get to see where you place your pattern. Medium size patterns (with a middling of frets), I use blue tape Small patterns I use spray glue
  13. Delta makes a good saw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That said, I own two Delta's and they work well. Like any machines that have bearings, they do need to be greased. I try to do maintenance once a year and 'ALL IS WELL' with them.
  14. First, I bet dust was the culprit in your switch. As to buying another saw, I like Delta's since I own two.
  15. Hey Cliford!!!!!! Really good to have you here. Is Catfever for 'Kitties'? or is it that you like to fish for 'Catfish'? I enjoy pets, dogs and cats and hunting, fishing. Antway, got questions... there are answers here,,,,,, even it it has to do with just ... 'Life'
  16. Hey, I like your introduction. Scrolling is adictive. There are so many different segments to it. Pattern making is a major basis. I enjoy the scrolling from compound cutting to fret work. Got a question, there will be an answer. Welcome to our Village.
  17. Sounds like you are improving, aNd I AgrEe, iT LoOkS lIkE yoU aRe BaCk. And as For what Len said, Lincoln the seventh-coldest major U.S. city. It may be a while before it warms up. Oops, I'm not helping. But I am glad you are feeling better and scrolling a bit.
