Hawk is the cheapest I have found too. Shipping for $165 of blades I ordered is $5. From Kansas to Illinois. My order will ship Monday, I ordered late today. One strange thing with the site is they ship anywhere here in The states but it said it couldn't ship certain sizes. I called and they explained the site would say that sometimes. That needs to be fixed. I should have enough blades for quite awhile now

I know we talk a lot about these blades but I have been searching the web to buy some. Anyone know where the cheapest price is? So far what I've found is Hawk Woodworking. ( Hawk Scroll saws )They are cheaper on Flying Dutchman than any others I can find. Any other places to buy cheaper? Thanks

I keep my collection in a box on the back porch for my kids to use in the fire when they toast marshmallows and hotdogs.

Dad started remodeling the house in 1991. He bought a single speed scroll saw at True Value Hardware to build a gazebo bird feeder. I started playing with it then just messing around making small simple airplanes. I was off awhile in 2013 and found a used DW788 on craigslist. I then joined SSV a lot of great people and have stuck with it since. Thank you Travis for all you've done here it's the best forum for scroll sawing.

You folks have some nice work shops! Here’s my half of the garage. It’s Heaven compared to my last one. It’s a mess right now ( usually ). I still have a lot of my work I’ve completed. Band saw, my new scroll saw, spindle sander, table saw and a lot of wood. I have a hard time throwing anything away. My wife gets the other half if the garage once in awhile when I pick things up. Also I have the best shop monitor you could ever have.

Thanks again everyone. My wife and I tried different colors I still don’t think you can see it very well but here’s a few. I didn’t cut it out on the last two. Looks like it has to be the white.

This is a pattern from a book by Patrick Spielman. 1/2” Walnut. Any ideas for a color background so you can see it better?

Thanks everyone. 321 is 3oz.of mineral spirit, 2 oz. of semi gloss poly and one oz. of BLO. Wipe or brush it on and let it soak then wipe off excess. It dries pretty fast. My brother told me of it, I looked it up online too. It always seems to look best with three coats. It's a free pattern from Shelia Landry. She does great work.
