I've had this saw for about a month. Generally satisfied with its performance. Not satisfied with the top blade holder that required the Allen wrench so I removed the Allen bolt and found I could use a bolt with a knob that I had laying around the shop. Now undoing the top holder to move the blade to a new hole is a snap.

The only problem is that the upper arm is mounted inside a plastic housing that holds the blade guard and blower assembly. Within a few days there were stress fractures in the plastic. This doesn't affect the performance of the saw although it does cause the housing to vibrate so I removed the blade guard which I prefer not to use anyway.

I just bought this saw last week. It replaced a pin in only Craftsman that was probably 15 years old.

I've cut a couple project and I like the saw. The pin in blades are easy to change with no tools. The pinless blades are a different story, it comes with a T-alan wrench that you have to use. The underside blade holder assembly is a pain in the backside to get right with pinless blades. Or, maybe I just need more practice doing it, IDK.

Overall, it's much quieter with less vibration and it comes with an air thingy to blow the chips away. It does not come with a work light. I got a $14 LED light from Walmart took the base off and hung it above the saw, works great.

It's entry level I think, certainly not built like a DW tool but that's not what you're paying for.
