ubgoofy2003 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Finished this piece yesterday & thought I would post it here since it is a pattern of Grandpa's U/K. It is a most outstanding pattern. I love all the wildlife & bird pieces that I can do. Thanks Grandpa, for a great pattern. I used a 1/2 in. piece of basswood, with the bark just slightly trimmed off. It really was a good wood for this pattern. I cut the ends of it to add a rustic look to it & finished it with Tongue oil. Thanks bobman58 1 Quote

ubgoofy2003 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 I finished another project right after the Falcons. It is very different & not wood. I used two 1/8 in. pieces of Acrylic for this license plate. The backer is red & of coarse the front is white. I did hand paint the cactus & the text of Yuma, Az. for a change of pace. The wife wanted this for the car, so I went to my stash of plex to make it. I did the entire piece with the # 1 spiral blade. I like using the spirals. Go visit us some time. Thanks for looking. Take Care Quote
heppnerguy Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 wow, Perk, you are quite the artist. A great job you did cutting the falcons. They came out beautifully, and the license plate is so professional looking. impressive job there too Dick heppnerguy Quote
