dansnow Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Three weeks ago we had to have our adopted greyhound Zeller put to sleep. He was 13 1/2 yrs old and had been with us for 10 years. He was the wife's favorite and his passing hit her hard. Humble thanks to Grampa (Paul) for creating the pattern for me. This is the finished plaque, I will be giviing it to Lin this evening. I plan to have a box of kleenex handy when I pressent it to her. Thanks again guys, you all ROCK!! Quote

DWSUDEKUM Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Very nicely done memorial. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW Quote
Scrappile Posted July 17, 2014 Report Posted July 17, 2014 Great memorial. Greyhounds are great dogs. Never had one but never met one that wasn't very gentle and loving. My condolsences to you and your wife. Dogs should live a lot longer. Quote
dansnow Posted July 17, 2014 Author Report Posted July 17, 2014 Zeller was our 2nd grey. Both were gentle dogs. People think you need acres of room to have a grey, but that's not the case. Their favorite pastime is napping. Among grey owners their dogs are often referred to as "40 mile per hour speed bumps" because while they can hit 40mph at full stride, napping is their real joy!
