herrwood Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I use a kerosean heater, its a redi heter with a blower type fan. heats my 12 x 14 shop quickly. Propane is another option good option. Scrolling Steve 1 Quote
sullyscroller Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) I heat my 20'x30' shop with a 10,000 btu heater/ac unit . works good but on really cold days it takes a while to get it comfy. It's a window unit mounted in the wall for security. sully Edited November 14, 2014 by sullyscroller Quote
Ron Johnson Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I use a portable electric heater thermostat controlled to heat my 12 x 8 shop. I can go into the shop any time and start work without waiting for it to warm up first. Quote

DonR Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I use a through the wall, electric heat pump. Supplyies air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter. A little pricey to buy the unit but very economical to run. Works perfect for me, Don R Quote

amazingkevin Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 It's just you you need to keep warm,Make a 55gallon garbage bag into a tee shirt by cutting three holes in it. In no time at all when you were this you'll be taking something off because your heat can't get out or thru the bag.I'd venture to say you could be buryed in snow wearing this and survive ! I't's the best and cheapest way to stay very warm and sweating! Scrolling Steve 1 Quote
Clayton717 Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 I use a wall/ ceiling mounted heater 220v. I keep my shop between 40 & 50 when I'm not in it, to keep my glues and finishes from freezing. It's been down in the mid 20's here at night and this morning when I went out to the shop it was 47 in there. It didn't take it to long to get it near 70. That the temp I like to work at that way I comfortable working in a t shirt. my shop is 10 x 12. Quote
