penquin Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) On a recent road trip we stopped at a saw mill ( 1 guy with a portable mill) in New Mexico. He had a ton of ceder and let me pick what I wanted. We had a great visit with him. He also had a pet Long Horn steer and let my wife give it a ice cream bar, paper and all. It was a real laugh to see how much it enjoyed the ice cream. Here are some cuttings I have done in the ceder. The fox is by Old crow scroll works or Don, the horses is by Gayle and the wolf is by unknown, don't have a name on it. jim penquin Edited July 26, 2015 by penquin DonR, lawson56, LarB and 6 others 9 Quote
Scrappile Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Great cutting and I do love the natural edge stuff. I just tried a piece of Basswood I have. Unfortunantely it fell apart in some detailed areas. You can't win them all. Great pictures you have. Quote
rdatelle Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 WoW, that's different. Guess the wood has to be pretty flat. Looks great. Quote
