I met a guy down the road a few years ago and he had one he enjoyed not sure who made it. I don't do much looking at them because I am a hobbyist and don't get an income that warrants buying one so not paying attention to what is best. Sorry. Certainly would be fun but too costly of a toy for me. Quote

Travis Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I have one. I bought the XCarve, which is a DIY kit you have to put together. It's not too hard to assemble, though. It's a lot of fun. I just need more time to play with it. I upgraded the spindle to the DeWal 611, which I recommend. One thing to keep in mind, though...CNCs are pretty slow. You can cut something out in the traditional way in 1/4 the time. The only real advantage is precision and being able to do other stuff while the machine works. I like it because it combines my creative side with my technical side. Lots of fun. Forester 1 Quote
