Sycamore67 Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 I have had trouble and extreme pain in my wrists. The doctor did x-rays and showed that my wrist joints were wearing out. I had one repaired two years ago and the second one in early January. I found an excellent good doctor who is able to do repairs and leave me with good flexibility. The surgery and recovery are painful but getting better. I finally got out of the initial splints and dressing and into a cast for 6-8 weeks. After that it will be extensive physical therapy and work to get it back. Hope to be back at the scroll saw in 3-4 months....a long time but worth. I had a wide choice of colored casts and picked camouflage. Quote

Sycamore67 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Report Posted January 27, 2016 I am not certain if Kevin was suggesting that perhaps exercise or going to the gym would have helped me. Unfortunately, the joints were gone with bone on bone and grinding into each other. My only option was surgical. I ended up searching for the best doctor and found an excellent one. He had written and published papers on the procedure and the outcomes. I am a firm believer in carefully checking out doctors. bobscroll 1 Quote
