I have had trouble and extreme pain in my wrists.  The doctor did x-rays and showed that my wrist joints were wearing out.  I had one repaired two years ago and the second one in early January.  I found an excellent good doctor who is able to do repairs and leave me with good flexibility.  The surgery and recovery are painful but getting better.

I finally got out of the initial splints and dressing and into a cast for 6-8 weeks.  After that it will be extensive physical therapy and work to get it back.  Hope to be back at the scroll saw in 3-4 months....a long time but worth.

I had a wide choice of colored casts and picked camouflage.

I wish you well with the recovery and you'll be back scrolling up a storm before you know it. This is a nice time since it is cold mostly. I have a knee replacement coming up in Indy and since you are NW indiana maybe we should come together. You can do the foot switch and i will steer.

That means that we should be seeing more of you.  :);) .  I have never seen anything other when white for casts, maybe we haven't caught up with America yet.   Hope it not too painful for you.

I went thru months of tendinitis in my wrist and finally after going to the gym 27 days it's gone

I am not certain if Kevin was suggesting that perhaps exercise or going to the gym would have helped me.

Unfortunately, the joints were gone with bone on bone and grinding into each other. My only option was surgical.

I ended up searching for the best doctor and found an excellent one. He had written and published papers on the procedure and the outcomes. I am a firm believer in carefully checking out doctors.
