DonR Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 A very good customer asked me to carve him a Flat Earth Model. I used a 2 inch thick slab of Butternut 14 inches square and cut the circle with the scroll saw. The butternut was supplied by Ocooch Hardwoods. I currently have most of the wood removed and now have to clean up the coastlines. I think we will eventually use some kind of oil finish. Don R Quote
Birchbark Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 Wow very nice, i hate to think of the hours that went into that project! Well done. I'm sure your customer will love it for years to come. Thank you for sharing this with us. Russell Quote
Kepy Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 I can appreciate the amount of work in that. I have a box of unfinished carvings as I seem to get a new idea before I ever get one finished. Quote
