Hi All.

Decided I needed a clock in the shed. So I bought a pattern from Finescrollsaw who are based in Spain and started to work on it yesterday. Hopefully I will get a bit of time in the shed and get it finished soon.

Here is a link to the web site and pictures from owners who have made the clock.

Here is a short vid of a couple of parts that I have cut so far. I will update the thread as I go.

Hey Paul, that sure will be a fancy clock for the shed. Nice job with the video. I need to find a pattern for a mantle clock.

Hi Dan

Steve good site has 16 pages of clocks. You might find something. http://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/

Excellent cutting Paul.  Your saw makes my Delta Q3 sound like a tractor in comparison!

Keep the videos coming,

Rob

Hi Rob.

I did turn the sound track down a little when editing as I didn't want to damage any eardrums. But the Hegner is pretty quite, the vacuum is the loud item.

More ply turned up today so I will get a bit more cutting done and I will get more video.

Thanks for the comments guys. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Looking good so far, I can't wait to see more of it.  I've thought about ordering some patterns from them for awhile.  How was their service?

Hi TripleJ

Great service. Answered emails promptly and Spain to UK post was pretty quick. I will definitely order again in the future.

Cheers

Hello Paul, You are doing a very interesting looking clock there! Thank you for the video,

Can't wait to see the finished article! Bob  ;)

Hi Bob.

Thanks for your comments. ðŸ‘

More video from today. I thought this project was going to take me ages, but it seems to be coming together pretty quick.

Thanks all,

Hi Bob.

You are toooooo kind. ðŸ‘😉

I got some more cutting done today and hopefully I might have all the cutting finished tomorrow. I can then start the fit. 😀

I will then need to find the clock parts before the glue up. To be a little different, I'm thinking of going with a digital clock. New style technology with old style clock.😃

Cheers

This looks easy enough.

Thanks Paul!  This is good to know, they have some really interesting projects that I'd love to try my hand at.  Might have to break down and order something soon.  In the mean time I'll be looking forward to seeing how your clock turns out!!

Josh

Josh, you can get stuff from him electronically, but I found it is best to get his printed plans.  My printer would not print them well enough.  It was easier to go to a Staples or Office Depot and have copies made of his plans and only cost less than a couple bucks.  Shipping the to me from Spain was only a little over $6.  He is a great gentleman to deal with.

Hi Paul

This is a great thread

Thank you

Hi Fab

I appreciate your comments.

Great thread and videos. Thanks for posting.

What is the smallest size blade you have been able to use on your Hegner?

Hi Paul.

The smallest so far is a Olsen 3/0 skip tooth, I had to be so careful with the tension. I broke three on the trot trying to get the tension right.

Thankfully the patterns I end up doing don't need something that small.

Regards

Paul
