woodduck Posted March 17, 2016 Author Report Posted March 17, 2016 Peter, it looks perfect to me, how did you like using the new saw? Len Worked beautifully Len only problem I have is the spiral blades bending on the lower blade holder I have tried all the tips I have found but still does it,Think I went through about 10 blades on this one.any clues? DWSUDEKUM Posted March 17, 2016 Report Posted March 17, 2016 Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this with us. As for the blades bending you might wish to pull out the lower holder screws and make sure that the part that the blade contacts is flat if they are not it will bend the blade. DW woodduck 1 Quote
Lucky2 Posted March 17, 2016 Report Posted March 17, 2016 Peter, I would suggest that you remove the bottom clamp screw, on the end of that screw there is a small swivel tip. This tip is supposed to set up against the blade, so that when the clamp screw is tightened, the tip stops the screw from bending/twisting the blade. Try rotating that tip with your fingers, if it rotates, fine. But if it doesn't rotate, you'll have to loosen it up. I have used a very small bit of Never-Seize on the tips of my saw, I did that as soon as I bought the saw. The only other thing I can think of that might be causing your blades to break, is that they are spiral blades and I hate them. Len woodduck 1 Quote

Len Thanks for the input Len but I have already tried this they were very hard to turn so i cleaned them up & lubricated them so they should be fine now. Quote
