Intarsia work or not??? I saw this link on another forum and just had to share. I think more and more people should see this talent. Some could possibly make a case and call this intarsia work. Might be a stretch but none-the-less it is worth looking at this very talented artist work. I was blown away when I saw it. I have seen my share of segmented turning items that are mind boggling but this ranks up ther too. Have a look.

I think by definition, intarsia is a type of inlay. Since he's not really inlaying anything, it probably doesn't qualify as intarsia. But what it is; freeking cool. Very clever approach to sculpture. I went through his entire gallery and was blown away. Thanks for the link. I really enjoyed that.

Thanks for sharing, John. Those are cool and there probably aren't too many folks who do art like that. I agree with Travis that it probably would fall into the intarsia catagory. Pretty neat stuff.

She does do some amazing work. Never in a million years would I have thought to cut pencils into pieces and turn them into beads by drilling a hole in them. So she is really not a woodworker, but a beader. Would love to meet her someday though. Thanks for posting the link John.
