I first saw your picture this morning on Intarsia Nuts Facebook page.  Thought then and now that it looked great. You did some great work shaping the pieces.  As a newbie to Intarsia, I appreciate everyone showing pictures of their finished pieces for us to "see" the detail work that was done to give it the dimension and depth.  Thanks for sharing.

What do you dye it with. Also, I love your finish. What kind of finish is on that piece?

Dye is a "General Finishes" water based pre-mixed dye. I use their orange, red, blue & Green. I do not finish individual pieces separately. I finish the entire piece at one time. Once the back is glued on, I wash the entire piece with Lemon oil to remove dust. Lemon oil will also bring out the natural color. Let dry- 4-6hours. Than 3 coats of crystal clear gloss spray paint. steel wool (fine) between coats
