danny Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 Was just Wondering.... I have been selling these letter ornaments for a buck each year. Besides Scrolling and Sanding thats all. They sell pretty good each year. Seem to always run out of a certain letter. Have cut a DOZEN of each letter. Been using 1/8 bb and stacking 4 up. Using my Favorite blade. FDUR #1.... So another Good Friend (Scroller) made a mention that he thought a Buck was to Cheap. So My Question is............Any feelings on a price you would tack on each? As my Always.... Just Love any Feedback. Danny :+} Ninuninu, neptun, frankorona and 2 others 5 Quote
Scrolling Steve Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Danny, I do not sell many items, but if you ask 2.00 each, your sales will not drop off any at all !....Just my two cents ! Edited September 22, 2016 by Scrolling Steve Quote
Rob Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 If you can stack cut three or four at a time then $2 or $2.50 would make them a nice little earner. Rob Quote
meflick Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Very nice work on the cutting. I would tend to agree, a $1 is pretty cheap. If they are "flying" off the shelves at $1.00 then bump it up to what you think your market will bear. You can also put them on "sale" if you find you have them priced wrong and they aren't selling. One thing to do is to go for individual price and then a "bargain" price if you buy multiples. So like $2.00 - $3.00 each or 3 for $5/$6 so that they "save" a buck or two by buying quantity versus one at a time. How much to price multiples for will be reliant upon what you settle for selling singles for. Let us know what you decide and how it works out. Edited September 22, 2016 by meflick Quote
lawson56 Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 I agree move em up to $2.or $2,50.there Fantastic. Quote
newfie Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Up this way if i was to go to the local craft fair I'd ask $3 each or $2 or two for $5.nothing less to be honest.but i also add a ball and chain key chain to them. For that price. Edited September 22, 2016 by newfie Quote
dgman Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 They look great Danny! If I were selling those, I would have a price of $3 each or 2 for $5. It makes it look like the customer is getting a bargain! amazingkevin 1 Quote
Lucky2 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Danny, I think that $3.00 per letter, and 2 for $5.00 would be a good asking price. Len amazingkevin 1 Quote
Fab4 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Hi Danny: Well done $1.00 a piece........I say bring it up a bit Well worth it Fab4 Quote
Dave Monk Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 A dollar won't buy a thing any more. How many per hour can you do? Maybe they are too small but when I stack cut baltic birch I do 6 at a time but I am probably doing bigger things. I'm sure you have tried more. dave Quote
danny Posted September 23, 2016 Author Report Posted September 23, 2016 JUST WANT TO SAY. I JUST....LOVE BEING A PART OF THIS FORUM....EVERYONE IS GREAT. THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT. I JUST SAY WOW! TO THE MAJORITY FEELING THAT A BUCK REALLY MIGHT BE .... TO CHEAP.... REALLY LIKE THE THOUGHTS OF SO MANY FOR SO MUCH. WILL JUST HAVE TO GIVE THIS MORE THOUGHT. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE..............Danny :+} P.S. Dave I feel very comfortable only cutting a stack of FOUR using the BALTIC BIRCH 1/8" Yes I have also cut stacks of 5 and 6, but to me the going is pretty rough. Only 4 is a piece of cake. Quote
penquin Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Got to agree with going up a bit. like the 2.00 each or 2 for 3.00 or some variation of that. Give them a break if they buy more than 1. They look super, great work. jim penquin Quote

DWSUDEKUM Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Those would easily sell for $3.00 each or if you wanted you could do combo sets for lets see.... 3 letters for $7.50 4 letters for $10.00 in other words $2.50 each when bought as a set. Everyone likes a bargain. DW Lucky2 1 Quote
wombatie Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Danny I agree with ??? (Not sure who. LOL) $3 each or 2 for $5. Marg Lucky2 1 Quote
Kepy Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 I agree that cutting more than 4 in 1/8" takes more time than it saves. I'm sure that price depends on location and what the public will pay. Quote
frankorona Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Great work, very well done. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) Danny buy one get one free £5 what ever that is in dollars and then you'll need to cut more because that way they think of their partners. Roly Edited September 23, 2016 by Phantom Scroller Quote
danny Posted September 23, 2016 Author Report Posted September 23, 2016 I have pretty much decided on $2 each. And maybe 3 for $5. Sounds Good. Ninuninu Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 I really love the letters Danny but afraid I can't help out with pricing at all! If you don't mind me asking - what size are they? Tony Quote
Rockytime Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Those pendants look great. I would not sell for only a dollar. You, your time and skill are worth much more. Quote
