Denny Knappen Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 The pattern is by Sue Mey and found in the current issue of SWWC. I used 1/2" Hard Maple for the top and upright and 1 1/4" Walnut for the base. The blade used for all interior cuts was FD UR #3. The finish was 50% BLO and two coats of spray Polyurethane. The nice part was all the wood was just scraps. Comments welcome. TripleJScroller, frankorona, Phantom Scroller and 1 other 4 Quote

wombatie Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 Great use of scrap wood, it pays to not throw anything away because you just never know when it's going to come in useful. Looks great Denny. Marg Quote
Denny Knappen Posted October 12, 2016 Author Report Posted October 12, 2016 Thanks for the nice comments. I also received a very nice comment on Facebook from Sue Mey. If you try and make them, there is a weak spot where the upright fits into the base. Be sure and not force together. Quote
meflick Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 Another great looking project Denny. I finally took the time to check in with the folks at scrollsawer to make sure I would get the most recent copy of the magazine when I submitted for the free magazine. She assured me it would be. Since I had not yet found it on the store shelf - I went and placed more order for it. Can't wait to check out this new issue. I will refrain at the store should I finally find it before it arrives in my mailbox! Quote
Denny Knappen Posted October 12, 2016 Author Report Posted October 12, 2016 Glad you subscribed. Melanie. I usually find one or two projects to make, so worth the investment. This issue, these are four projects. Quote
