My first ever craft show

Saturday was my first ever vendor show. It went well as I just barely missed my goal of $1,000. Learned a lot about doing shows. And was invited to a bigger show down the road in a couple weeks. Hoping to restock some of my easier items and do it again. Must be a glutton for punishment!

Wow just short of $1000 on your first show, that's incredible.  Congratulations.

Tim, your hooked now for sure, you won't want to ever miss a chance to sell your wares now. You have a nice set-up, did the ironing board sell? In the first picture you have three cuttings that are the same, they look great. But, when I display my items that way, people think and ask if they are mass produced. Or, if they were cut using a laser or CNC machined, I had a hard time getting them to believe that they were hand cut. So, I quit showing more then two of anything I had cut, once I sold one of them I would place another one in its place.

Thanks for the advice Len. I really appreciate it. I had one guy ask if I used a CNC, but was quite impressed when I told him everything was from a scroll saw. The ironing board did not go, so it'll go to the next show. A lot of people liked it, but weren't sure if they had space at home for it. The cooler box went, and I have several who may contact me to do more of those. 

 

ChelCass, the barns are my own twist on the churches. Should've done more of them and fewer churches.

I agree with len I have somethings I have 8 or 10 alike but never show more than 2 at a time. for one thing i never have as much roomas you even when i rent 2 spaces.
