Dalmatian pattern

I know I haven't been around in a LONG time..  but I honestly, I really didn't even get in the shop this summer due to medical issues..  What I'm hoping someone can do is make me a pattern that would look in a 8.5" x 11" frame..  I plan using 1/8" thick birch ply, with a black backer.  I am including two pics to choose from.  I am really only looking for the head with a little neck..

Glad your feeling better Kris and able to do some scrolling. I can't help with the pattern you want but I can tell you a little story about my Dalmatian.

 

The dalmatian I had was my first dog when I was about 8 or 9. That dog was always getting into trouble. He loved chickens, he thought they tasted so good. I guess one of the worst things he did was go into a neighbors house and get a freshly cooked ham off the table. When I saw him walking up the street with the ham in his mouth I knew we where in big trouble. Needless to say my dad was not happy.

Here is my take on him. I made it 7.5 X 10 so it will fit your frame nicely. I couldn't tell if they are really markings on his tongue. If not you can just ignore them.

Would appreciate a picture if you cut it.

Nice pattern on this one.  Like the idea of just a head shot.

That will work GREAT  Don.  Thanks so much.  That is not our Dalmatian..  it's one of the puppies my wife bred.  The people that own him are amazing.  They send us Christmas presents, birthday presents for his brother Kevin that we kept..  That dogs name is Cy Young.  They are HUGE Red Sox fans.   All the packages come addressed to Kevin from Cy Young.  When they on vacation they leave him here instead of going to a kennel.  The wife breeds and shows Dalmatians and Miniature American Shepherds (mini aussies really).   So I thought (even though it won't be finished in time)  I would make them this as a present or thank you for all the stuff they send us. We just got a christmas package from them this morning.. I got a Red Sox hat, my wife got this cool rechargable phone charger and they got that exact picture Don used put on a label from Yankee Candle!  So now I know they love that picture too, so it will work out even better.

 

Our Dalmatian Kevin (and Cy) both love chickens too.. Cy got one last time he was here.  Kevin got 6 chickens and one of the wife's ducks this year.  Kevin is fine with them if they stay in their part of their fenced in area.. but if they come into the main yard..  they are fair game to Kevin. He's a big Dal too.. 75 lbs and just under the 24 inch max for showing..

 

So here is a picture of Kevin Bacon on the left, his mom Pixie in the middle, and his younger sister Sage on the right.

In case you can tell in the pics, yes, Kevin and Pixie are liver spotted color, and Sage is the normal black spotting.
