Nothing under the tree but I obtained permission to buy a new truck in exchange for a new fancy sewing machine; I think I got the better deal :D

Dewalt 788 for me and come to think of it, not a single golf related gift. Hmm...

New vehicles are great but I hate buying them.

Does that new fancy sewing machine do embroidery by chance? I only ask because I bought a introductory sewing/embroidery machine for my daughter and we spent a big part of today trying to figure it all out. We need backer material and maybe spray on glue and she'll be ready to go to work!

I got lots of sanding equipment, to use on my lathe work. And a new computer, but, I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. It was a surprise gift from my oldest daughter and her husband, but I don't need it as I bought a new one just after Christmas last year. My youngest daughter bought me a bunch of turning blanks, so many, that I couldn't lift the box off the floor. Beautiful wood.

Got to spend Christmas with Dad, who is 88 in April, back in Flin Flon.  Got call he was in hospital Dec 07 and flew to Saskatoon that day and  sister and I drove to Flin Flon Dec 08.  He got released Dec 12 and we have been caring for him since.  He is well enough to travel now and we are heading to Saskatoon tomorrow and Dad and I will fly to GP on Wednesday hopefully.  He will spend rest of winter there with Jan and me.  Will celebrate Christmas with Jan and Dad when I get to GP,

So, all in all, a great Christmas, best gift I could have gotten, time with Dad.
