As some of you know, if you read my last post. that I am trying to learn to make patterns. I made another one that I am posting here and in the new pattern forum index. It is not that I believe my patterns are anything that someone will want to cut but I am posting them there so that I can keep track of my own progress as the year progresses.

Dick, please keep posting what you come up with for patterns, they are very interesting and quite cuttable. This is only the second pattern of yours I've seen, and I liked both of them. There is one small change I'd make when cutting this pattern, it's the bridge on the birds leg. Personally, I don't think it is needed, that section is already bridged at the top, middle and bottom. There is nothing wrong with the bridge being there, I just wouldn't use it. I think it's a great idea to keep posting your work, we all can follow your progress. But, with just starting out, I think your doing a fantastic job.

Len, as you already know, I for one appreciate that you are willing to pass on your advice to others, sometimes even a tad bit on the skeptical side, but I understand that you are always trying to help others by pointing out things that will make their projects a little better. I  was pleased to see that you made this comment to me and I agree completely with  what you are telling me, there is no need for that bridge. I feel it works ok with it there, but it certainly is not necessary  Thanks for pointing that out to me, I sure it will help with my next effort

Nice job for a person who "trying to learn to make patterns", my first pattern was not much better  :)

As for me, the main thing in making patterns is practice, practice and practice, so keep trying and every next pattern will be better

Thanks Dick, I appreciate you feeling that way. I'll tell you what I don't like about the bridge, I think it takes away some of the delicate look that there is without it.
