One night while sawing I stopped lean back and rest my eyes fell fast asleep, I woke 1/2 hour later with dreams of a waterfall still fresh, in fact I could still hear the water . My saw was running. Seems my foot moved the dead man switch under a shelf !

Or the time a blade broke and the bottom holder pops up .... 2 hours looking ( sure I had more I wanted that one), next day with holder in hand my wife asked why I put this in my coffee cup

How about the time I finish cutting a scrip sign ... THEN I see a miss spelled a word

Not too funny then but I can laugh at it now

My first bandsaw box came out looking nice. After applying the finish something didn't seem right. After the finish dried I slid the drawer in only to find out I cut the opening on the bottom. My wife got a kick out of it. I told her I made it for a friend in Australia.

I finished a project one day.Grabbed the can of spray poly and

began to spray.Something didn't look right.I picked up a can

of black paint by mistake. Lol still not funny.

Okay I thought of one.  Couple years back I did the "Moose" by Mike Williams.  Very complex and time consuming.  I did it in 1/8" BB stacked 2.  When done I was really proud, but noticed the picture was not centered on the piece of wood.  I decided to shave one side of to make it centered.   Only needed to shave about 1/8". Set it up on the table saw, got about half way and it exploded.  It was in a million pieces.  I just laughed at my stupidity.  Glad I had stacked cut so I still had one copy.

Wonder if I could get a grant to research "How many woodworking projects end up as firewood."  (Mine included)  Also the amount that the flames contribute to global warming.

 

I tell people that my baldness was caused by smacking myself on the forehead every time I did something stupid. 

 

When composing text, my reoccurring stunt is to write, ending with "the."  After thinking about what to type next, I start with "the" and go on from there.  End up with "the the."  Fortunately, our spell check starts flashing the screen with the words "Jerry, you would need tutoring before you could qualify as the village idiot."

About 3 years ago I cut a Dr Who portraits pattern for my husband.  It had 10 or 11 of the Doctors in it, I was so proud.  I was also proud of the fact that I had managed to keep it a secret.  I framed it wrapped it and hid it until Christmas Day.  I gave it to him and I could see this dumb look on his face and he said "What does OHW RD stand for?"  I had framed it back to front.  :oops: :oops: :oops:
