Spindle sanders can be handy in the shop, but I don't think I've ever seen a hand held one. Just heard about this offering.  I've purchased router bits from this outfit before and they sell a horizontal router table that i'm often tempted to open my wallet for. Anyway I thought some of you might have an interest in this....

Everything has it's moment,Good for cumbersome thing i'm sure.

I've seen and held a professional model one a while back, what I didn't like about it was how heavy it was. It wasn't to bad or heavy to use, it was just to heavy when you had to move from one piece of work to another, or to carry it around.

The pic on that site showing it being used on a large round piece is the only time I can foresee it being used, large pieces that could not be easily held flat on the typical bench mounted sander.  Other wise I know I would have problems keeping it perpendicular to the work
