My Pillow... Seriously!

Ok, so being a baby boomer and a long time skeptic and pessimist I will say that I hated these My Pillow commercials and used to turn the channel whenever I saw one, or heard on the radio.

I had gone to the website and when I saw the price, I knew it had to be a gimmick and I wanted no part of it - scam for sure!

My sleep habits are such that I may if I'm lucky sleep for 4-6 hours, usually it's about 4. Recently as well, the wife has started snoring like a grizzly bear and being a light sleeper she wakes me sometimes with less than 4 hours sleep

Currently the my pillow people are having a sale - you get 4 pillows (2 go anywhere which are very small pillows) and 2 regular sized (your choice) for about $100. Pre sale these where $99 EACH!

Hesitantly, I ordered a set to try.

@octoolguy/Ray had mentioned he had an opportunity to sleep with them and was less than impressed.He is correct that the inside of the pillows are shredded foam! But it is done in a way that helps support the head.

When the pillows got here, we prepared them as recommended and the very first night of sleeping with them, the wife barely made a sound. I however, was not convinced as I felt I would certainly end the night with a stiff or painful neck! It did not happen

It has been one week now, and I am now getting 5-7 hours of sleep averaging 7! This hasn't happened in years. Still no stiff neck either and as to the wife - I now have to lean over at night to make sure she is still breathing LOL, she's so quiet!

Anyway, I just wanted to would bring this up as I've read a few are having difficulty sleeping or have neck pains etc.

If you need a new pillow or having difficulty sleeping, I do recommend giving this a try. It worked for us and I'm biting my lip having to eat some humble pie and crow, but it is the best sleep I've had in years.

Thanks for your update. We watched the CBS Sunday show last night and it highlighted the guy who created the pillows and told his story. We came away impressed and willing to give them another chance. We will be buying ours from Bed, Bath and Beyond because of their very easy return policy. I have no problem sleeping. I never have. I do get up a couple of times a night to visit "John" but have no problem with going back to sleep. I used to have a lot of stiff neck problems and headaches but they seem to have gone away after I retired. Too much stress was my problem. Now, my aches and pains are just from what I call "old age". My biggest problem at this time is I love to eat. And I eat too much. I have put on about 30 lbs over the years and I know if I lost them, I'd feel much better. But, I don't see that happening so I just try to keep moving. Thanks again for your review.

My wife got them for us, I tried it for a few weeks. It's now on the floor, I went back to using 2 flat pillows.

My wife bought one for me. She said it may help keep me from snoring. I guess it works. When I snore she puts it over my head. The lack of oxygen wakes me up and no more snoring. Now I have to sleep with one eye open.
