GrampaJim Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 An easy pattern by Judy Gale Roberts. It was fun to do and I am happy with it (more importantly. my wife is happy with it ) I used aspen, cherry, pine, and oak for the tree trunk. I did "cheat" and used a stain on the oak. meflick Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) Nice work Jim. I am sure your wife is more than thrilled with it. Nothing wrong with staining if you want it stained. It's in my "to do" pile. For those who might be interested in this pattern, It was one Judy shared apparently many years ago via Better Homes and Garden's magazine (1988 I think.) I believe Bruce Worthington noted on a Facebook group this was the pattern that got him started with wood intarsia work. Judy then went and loaded it to the Facebook group for people to download and use for free. She has also shared it for free download on her website under her "Free Patterns" section which you can find here: https://intarsia.com/pages/download-free-intarsia-patterns There are a total of 6 free patterns presently on her site there.
