:woot::woot: Ordered my 788 from Grizzly on Wednesday will be here tommorow. It was a hard decision between the Excalibur 16" and the Dewalt. Weighed the pros and cons on both and factored in my budget the DeWalt won.

My biggest concerns on the Dewalt were the reported issues with knocking, blade alignment, blade tensioning and the off/on switch. Luckily these are all pretty minor fixes which you can do at home. I'll check all these before it gets mounted to the stand. Hopefully there won't be any issues.

I can just picture someone pacing around the house and peering out the window every 5 minutes awaiting a delivery

I am new to the hobby, and did a lot of research, and I ended up buying ol' yella. I am very happy with my purchase, I a also ordered from Grizzly. I have to say, that I was amazed by the customer over at Grizzly, when you call them, you actually get a knowledgeable human. The folks there are very friendly, the light was not shipped with the saw and stand, I called them, and they said it was shipped separately and would be there the next day. to Grizzly and Ol' Yella!

EDIT - Thanks to Amazingkevin - for pointing me to Grizzly!

Hi Geoff, I agree it would be nice to be able to get them in Blighty mind you, you could but the shipping and transformer cost would be to much, I thinl I will spray mine yellow and call it a De-plonked:huh: ........Paul :)

Got it last night. I would try emailing or writing letters to DeWalt about availablity in the U.K. I can't believe they (DeWalt) are passing up on possible sales overseas.

Its the same in Australia, they used to sell them here, then when they changed manufacturing plants they decided Australia wasnt economically viable to sell it here.
