Beautiful job on that Greg. If you completed thst as your fourth piece, I am not sure what part of the process is giving you all the stress and anxiety in doing them. 😉🤔 Perhaps if you give us a little more info. On what causes you the stress, we can give you better tips/info. I was fortunate to live close to one of the preiminent Intarsia artists, Judy Gale Roberts, which has afforded me the opportunity to take some of her classes. If you have the opportunity to do so, I would highly recommend it. Her classes fill up quickly though so you have to act fast to enroll. You can find her site here: https://intarsia.com/  if you cannot take one of her classes, she has some other help like dvd instructions, books, and “classroom in a tube”which provides the pattern, photos, and written instructions. She  also offers some smaller free patterns to work on which you can download from her site.

Wow, where to begin?  I am an axiety-ridden indiviual from the get go...  I guess stress is always going to be a part of my projects no matter how much I practice... I guess I partially answered my own problem when I stated I needed to do some smaller, easier projects to see if that calms me down... I am very familiar with Judy Gale Roberts' work and her intarsia classes... I once even almost signed up for one... Perhaps actually signing up and taking a class could be a good starting point for me... I think if I saw some projects being done and/or had assistance while doing one, I wouldn't be so anxious about it... Thanks for the reply and the tip...

Bigger the project the more money you can get! Your work is top notch! Take your time ,Have a coffee often, turn the music up.Make a much desirable condition to help as a distraction from all the processes you have to do ,doing these incredible projects that you are so good at.Very professionally done !!!! I full well know that intarsia is a lot of work but well worth it for yor wall of fame!!! Keep your work coming!

I found  that when I slowed down my saw and took more time cutting! I sped up the whole process because I spent less time banging my head fitting!

That being said, your Harley is wonderful, But if you do less intricate pieces to start you will be less stressed, until you become accustomed with the whole process!

I think your intarsia  work is great.   Chill!   😎

Yes, sir... I'm getting better at being calm about it... I've done enough projects now that I am much less anxious...  I still need to get the hang of sanding them better but at least I don't stress out over them anymore... :)

Intarsia projects are so very impressive to me...  I've only been able to complete a few because I find them so difficult and I'm not used to that... They cause me great anxiety while I'm trying to complete them but I've seen so many that are so beautiful to me... I want to like doing them... I want to create lots of them... I just can't figure out how to get over the stress of the process... 😞  This Harley Davidson Softtail was my 4th attempt at intarsia... Maybe I should do smaller projects until I get more comfortable... I've just never struggled with scrolling profiles and fretwork so my brain thinks I should be able to crank out intarsia with the same ease...  Thanks in advance for any tips you might have...

This pattern was designed by P.A. Barney and, unfortunately, I've misplaced or lost my copy of it...  I've also not been able to find it anywhere online...  If anyone finds a source for this pattern please let me know as I would like to give it another shot as well...
