Just finished my first show and had a great day.

I want to say thanks to Iggy (Scott) for all his help and advice. He has posted numerous videos and answers any question. Not always found in this day.

Big thanks to Iggy.

Had a great time taking with people and the other vendors. Now looking forward to my second show.

A couple of other crafters asked if I would do it again and also said it could become additive. Right now I think it might become additive.

It was a lot of work getting ready but I really enjoyed just sitting at the saw and cutting. I was not sitting in front of the TV so it was a good thing.

Yes it is alot of work but the talking to the customers and other vendors makes it worth while. That is just a huge part that is missed out when selling on line. That personal touch and talking up your hobby.  You will develop a following after a few shows and people start recognizing you. Word of mouth is good advertising. I enjoy that and play off it many times. What slows you down and has me is age and the ability to carry all the props needed to set up. That is the down side unless you have young help. What is good about the school show I do they have students there all day to help on the way in and on the way out. Saves alot of trips along with a good cart.

Perseverance is the key. We have a monthly street market in Kalgoorlie. Many years ago when I was retired from the Police Force I started making toys etc in my shed, with no other thought than the enjoyment in making them. My wife suggested we take them to the markets. started slow, but within 6 months we had people looking for "the toy makers stall".
The main thing is to have fun.
