Starting the Remuda

For those who don't know, a remuda is the horse herd associated with a particular ranch or outfit. Western Horseman Magazine actually has an annual Remuda of the Year Award. Anyways, I've gotten started on my own remuda. With my daughter just turning one in January, her two closest cousins turning one this month, and another customer order, I've got a lot of work to do. So far it seems to be going alright. I've had to glue up all my pieces as I don't want to use plywood. And then I rough cut each piece with the scroll saw and do the final trimming with a flush cut router bit. Still a long ways to go, but things are starting to come along.

Making some progress, but slow going. Have to build the base still, finish painting the saddle, and apply clear coat to the entire thing still. And still working on the other three as I go.
