A Mercedes parts store asked me if I could redo wood steering wheels,no idea what that entails.your doing good though!!!

1.Alot of of patience!

2.sandind inside of the splitted/cracked areas

3. forcing glue inside the cracks ( i did use woodglue PVA mixed with water 50/50, in US i believe it called Tightbond or Gorilla glue)

4. fitting new wood slices (if it possible)

5. sanding

6. filling the very small cracks with parguet wax (choose the closest colour, you can mix tifferent colors on wood)

7.sandind

8. filling again

9. clean the workpiece with compressed air and white spirit

10. rest your eyes and drink a coffee

11. very good check to avoid any cracks left open.....always you find a new place to repair

Then repeat steps 5 - 11 over and over again.

This is not a easy job.
