Foxfold Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 Must confess, I can't get the Internet on my mobile phone, so I just use my 'computer', so I don't envy you the 'brain ache' But well done on persevering and getting it done. Loskoppie 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 (edited) I do not own a cell phone, an Ipad, or even a laptop.. I am in the dark ages with just a desk computer... That is why I am a hermit. I don't do Facebook, or text, instagam, any of that stuff. No one responds to emails anymore, they text, my inbox is empty.... I have no clue what is on TV any more, and my TV is one of those, if you remember, that is about 3 feet deep. I do watch Netflix, need something to put me to sleep. No one talks to me because they are too busy worrying their cell phone. If it died they would die.... But, you know, I am far happier than 90% of "them"... I just got tired of all the people just looking for something to be upset about all the time. They have to be offended by something. I LOVE MY DOGS.... Loskoppie Posted August 28, 2019 Author Report Posted August 28, 2019 Scrappile you are me I hate all these gadgets. No one talks. My husband and I watch some nedflix and no one seems to thin we are normal. We don't care. I love animals more than some people. Miran 1 Quote
Scruffydog Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 Way to go Loskoppie! I am with those who are or have already checked out from the digital age. I do some things on my phone since it is our only internet connection. The rest I do on my work computer. No snapface-o-gram for me either. This modern world is a like foreign country to me. Just yesterday I got chastised for abbreviating a word in a text message and turning it into something offensive when all I thought I was doing was abbreviating a word. I've had it. No more TV news for me, I'd rather watch an old western during dinner. Everything I can do that is analog instead of digital is for me. Except communicating on a few select forums, which I do enjoy. Keep 'er movin... Loskoppie 1 Quote
Sycamore67 Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 Interesting comments..... I use the devices mainly to keep in contact with kids and grand kids. They are too far to visit very often but with Facebook I can see a lot of pictures and things. I just got to see back to school pictures and videos. The cell phone, tablets, etc are all tools and they can be used for good things or stupid things. Not the device but the people using them. Loskoppie 1 Quote
teachnlearn Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 I spent part of my life designing electronics. Baffles me that people watch tv and surf the internet on phones. Too small for me. I carry a flip phone when driving in case of break down. Wouldn't know an app if it hit me. RJF Loskoppie 1 Quote
