Popular Post Denny Knappen Posted January 14, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted January 14, 2020 The pattern is by Gary Browning and found in his book "Wild West Scroll Saw Patterns". I used 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood 8" x 10" and backed with a black mat board. Of course framed at ArtCrafters. It was cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw with Pegas #3 Spiral blades. I chose this pattern to try the Pegas spiral blades. Very impressed with the blades. The finish is one coat sanding sealer and two coats spray Polyurethane Clear Satin. Comments welcome. new2woodwrk Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Incredible stuff - thanks for sharing Love the western/native american theme stuff as well Quote
ScollSaw Slasher Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Nice job Denny. Just got finished ruining another native American pattern just a few minutes ago. Just can't get the hang of Baltic Birch. Had a couple of the feather pieces just break right off using a 2/0 Pegas spiral. Luckily, I had just gotten started so I have enough wood to make an ornament or two. One of these days I'll get the hang of it, but I've just always hated Baltic Birch. Quote
Gordster Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Beautiful cutting Denny,,love the frame also....I seen in one post that your go to blade now mostly is #1 pegas .Gonna have to order some at some point.. Quote

Left a lot of fuzzies, but the Sand Flee cleaned them right up. Quote

Thanks for the comment. It depends on the wood and thickness, but I seem to go through a lot of MGT #1 blades Gordster 1 Quote
wombatie Posted January 15, 2020 Report Posted January 15, 2020 I have all of Gary Brownings books, I loved his work, don't hear anything of him any more. Terrific work Denny, well done. Marg Quote
Denny Knappen Posted January 15, 2020 Author Report Posted January 15, 2020 Thanks all for the nice comments. I made one about five years ago, but it was 11" x 14". This 8" x 10" was a little harder. Quote
Ron Johnson Posted January 16, 2020 Report Posted January 16, 2020 Very nicely done and framed Denny. Quote
