edward Posted March 13, 2020 Report Posted March 13, 2020 Here in Pennsylvania Corona virus is taking a toll on sports, concerts, schools, work places and people are asked to work from home for at least a couple weeks. Supermarket s are running of toilet paper, paper towels this is worse then if were getting a Blizzard. amazingkevin 1 Quote

tgiro Posted March 13, 2020 Report Posted March 13, 2020 Also in PA --- PA has reported a number of cases and some deaths, but they are in the high population areas. I have not heard of any cases in our county, yet. I have read about the hoarders, hitting the stores and wiping out stock. Our governor, has closed down many public events and has asked a lot of commercial gatherings to do the same. A lot of them have complied. Connie & I are well set up for a few weeks, so I'm not worried about that. We are staying home, for the most part. Since I have to go out for things, I carry a small squirter of sanitizer with me and a couple of pairs of nitril gloves. I know some of the stores in this area have sanitizer dispensers at their doors and some have handi wipe dispensers for the shopping carts. When the market started to drop, I moved all my IRA's to stable or what ever they are called. It takes them off the market. They don't make any money, but they don't lose any either. I've checked them over the past five days and they seem to be safe. Quote
Rockytime Posted March 13, 2020 Report Posted March 13, 2020 My wife and I are fine as far as supplies go. We have plenty of paper products and other supplies. I just don't understand the run on toilet paper and paper towels. danny 1 Quote
barb.j.enders Posted March 13, 2020 Report Posted March 13, 2020 Lots of precautions going on here! Too many to list. Not that I am making complete light of the situation but I told my husband we have to go to the lumber yard so I can stock up on bb ply!! If I have to self quarantine I will be set! We usually have a fairly well stocked pantry and freezer so not worried about that! Quote
Jim McDonald Posted March 13, 2020 Report Posted March 13, 2020 I said it on the saw forum, but I repeat here: I refuse to be bullied into panic mode. I will live my life with the most minor of changes. I was a paramedic in the early days of AIDS and went on with life and I will not succumb to the hysteria some around me have exhibited. Now, speaking of sporting events, on line sports betting is legal here in Indiana. Heard a commercial today and tried to figure out what's left to bet on. LarryEA 1 Quote
crupiea Posted March 15, 2020 Report Posted March 15, 2020 Went to walmart yesterday and it was a bit busier then normal but no lines or craziness. No tp but didnt expect there to be any. Going on base grocery shopping today, if its crazy will just turn around and come home and drink beer. Seems there is plenty of beer available so that is a major bullet dodged. Quote
wombatie Posted March 16, 2020 Report Posted March 16, 2020 We have a supermarket that is opening from 7am to 8am just for the elderly pension card holders so that they can get necessary things like toilet paper and sugar etc. About time they thought about us first. Marg Quote
