I did this before, a year or so ago, and ran across another board today that fit it pretty well I think. I started to add a quote but I think it probably says different things to different people.

Awe, thank you! Here's what I use for the pattern. I just draw the flying birds on the pattern in pencil and straighten out that one bent prong.

As always, Nice work, Charlie,
That wood would have looked nice with a nautical or landscape scene also
with the slight variation just above the middle. If I describe it properly,
earth to sky or water to sky with the grain and color variation.
