Need a hand

I tried--and failed--to make pattern as a thank you.

I am needing a name plate with a name in it.

Background is ham radio call sign N6AX and the name is John. Designers choice of type faces and I can enlarge or reduce as needed.

All designs appreciated.

Appreciate ideas, but went with something simple. Found a chunk of 5/4 some kind of hard wood and had some 1/4" black poplar for the overlay.
