I haven't been on here much this year. Been a busy summer. Scroll saw has been used a little bit but not as much as I would like.

Per a request from Kevin in another post here is the latest project. We used the regular hull that I make and notched the front just like the original. 9hp 31cc motor and it comes in at about 13.8 lbs minus fuel. Going to go after a national 2 lap record and a straight line record. Should be able to push 70 mph if we can keep it down on the water.

That thing is awesome.. I'd like to see video of that running on the water.. 👍

Appears to be made from carbon fiber?  I've always wanted to try making some things from carbon fiber.. like light weight car parts, LOL

Yes all carbon fiber. It takes a little practice. Practice with cheap fiberglass first though. haha. Not sure if we'll get it on the water before spring. Water is turning hard this time of year. We'll see.

I've heard it's a lot like working with fiberglass.. I had a fiberglass & plastics community college coarse back in the late 80's.. Haven't messed with fiberglass in a long time though..

It's basically the same.  But I do resin infusion instead of hand layup. It's a little more expensive but its worth it. Much cleaner and you get a way better quality part.
