Popular Post Zoot Fenster Posted January 24, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted January 24, 2021 Horse is the first Intermediate project in the Wise Intarsia for Beginners workbook. Walnut, beech and mahogany. I like how beech simulates hair / fur. Everything cut with #5 skip tooth. I tried to split the line and did pretty well with only minor sanding to make the pieces fit. I chickened out and did not make the tall risers that KW recommended. But I learned the flat vertical edges look okay and would add some next time. The finish is BLO with one coat of shellac followed by three coats of Behr satin polyurethane. Still turned out too glossy for my taste. On to Frog! new2woodwrk, Dave Monk, Foxfold and 13 others 16 Quote

ben2008 Posted January 26, 2021 Report Posted January 26, 2021 (edited) I really like it. Intarsia, my favorite type of woodworking. Try Deft satin spray lacquer next time. You might like the results. Ben Edited January 26, 2021 by ben2008 Quote
