Dave, I picked it up here from one of the Villagers. I cannot take credit for it but I'm glad it might help. It does work well. Quote
kmmcrafts Posted March 14, 2021 Report Posted March 14, 2021 My experience has been that I'm able to spray a medium coat of glue if using 3M 77 or the 3M 45.. Over the years I've used Elmer's, Locktite, and gorilla brands.. All of the non 3M brands I've had to spray a fairly heavy coat on... let it sit for a minute or so and they work "okay" I once in a while will have a lifting issue.. but it could be I sprayed uneven in that spot or? I don't know.. I will say I don't recall ever having issues with lifting with either of the 3M products mentioned.. They all seem like they work well once you figure out the method that works best for said product.. Just my opinion here.. while the other brands maybe slightly cheaper in price.. I feel the 3M can's last longer.. so are you actually saving any money.. I rarely use the sprays anymore since most patterns fit on a full sheet self adhesive shipping label. Everyone has their method and those shipping labels if bought in quantity are pretty price comparable when you factor in the glues, paper, cleaners for the sticky fingers and clogged nozzles and all the fussing with it.. But buying bulk as a hobbyist is probably not practical either.. I use a 1000 sheets a year.. where a hobbyist might only use 50-100 Quote
Ceric ME Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) I have been having success with Rubber Cement which is what Hans Meir uses. Though I have found getting the right amount tricky. Since I'm printing me patterns I got in some full sheet labels and start using those with the shelf liner. That seems to be working well. I've tried 77 but it got everywhere so I'm starting to avoid it personally. Edited March 19, 2021 by Ceric ME Quote
