  1. Alright I made this for my President of Toastmaster has a gift.
  2. Debind it. Is there enough room to put holes in the pages to put the book in a binder? That's what I did with my introductory scroll saw book. I used a razor as I didn't have my scroll saw yet but it should be relatively easy with the scroll saw to cut off the binding then you can take the pages out and they'll be flat so you can scan them and make a copy as a pattern.

    Clock

Clock is on my list of things I want to make. Then After a clock that I didn't do the motion for I like to make one motion and all. Great work.
  4. I've been using a cheap analog gauge for degrees from Harbor Freight. You have to wait for it to settle down but it's alright. The digital ones are nicer. Just make sure the Table/Stand you saw is on is 0 degree or it won't work correctly. I've also tried to use an angle finder, the type you can put to an angle and then lock down, it's just to long for what I'm trying to do.
  5. I cut this for my Mother in law I cut this for my Mom I made this for my wife. Its a cat shelf so she can place our orange cat Oscar on it during meetings when he insist on being part of the meeting. Cat is a custom pattern that I drew up. The Mom plaque's are a Steve Good pattern.
  6. I thought it was going to be Mother Related. I wonder if I can get a bird into the Squirrel feeder I need to make or the boat...
  7. I love my Miter saw. I have the DeWalt one https://www.dewalt.com/products/power-tools/saws/miter-saws/15-amp-12-in-electric-singlebevel-compound-miter-saw/dws715 My first "Large" tool purchase was this for a bit less then $300. We got it do trim. Haven't done the trim yet but man did it open up my woodworking capability. Now with that said now that I've gotten into Scroll Sawing I wish I would have ponied up the extra many and gotten a sliding compound miter saw for the extra width it can cut. At the time we debated between that for the future but, my wife and I couldn't really justify it. It would be really handy to be able to cut a full 12+ inch wide board. Especially since setting everything up to use the circular saw is a pain once you just walked over, lined the wood up, and zip cut to where you want. Also while I know a table saw is suppose to be one of those things every woodworker just happens to have. The cost and the space I can't justify.
  8. I've have this Wen Drill Press (I received it for Christmas part of the reason I was able to get my scroll saw) https://www.homedepot.com/p/WEN-10-in-Variable-Speed-Drill-Press-4212/204853908 Having the adjustable speed on the side is nice. The laser eats batteries. You can adjust how far down it goes. I have a cheap vice for it and clamp that goes in the table for long wood I've drilled. The chuck is rated for 1 - 13mm but, I've put a bit in it that is .66mm wide and it was secure. I can't tell you about the longevity. I've been quiet impressed for the cost. (It also has a little RPM Gauge on the front which is nice when trying to adjust to a recommended speed. Though I've mostly just keep it at the lowest for wood now.) I did "upgrade" it with a sewing light (Magnetic light with a stem) so I could see the drilling area better. If I ever need to by another there are some scenarios where to be nice to be able to bring the head out from the table. Though maybe by that time I might get to big for my britches (and shop) go actively see about scoring a Lathe.
  9. I've been holding off on showing some things as I wanted to see this months theme first. Wonder when it's coming.
  10. Silly question time, I know about Metric and SAE drill bits but what is the system for the number ones I keep seeing? On Model railroads, it is hard to find stores for the hobby anymore but, if your in Nashville, TN. Philips Toymart has a railroad section and can order you in a lot of different stuff.
  11. My son is taking his placement Math test for the year. I'm going to hide this in his bag. It's a math cat.
  12. This is my very first puzzle. Just got done with it for my Son's Birthday tomorrow. Its 66 pieces.
  13. Looking up a piece out of curiosity led me to this https://www.ereplacementparts.com/ryobi-sc163vs-scroll-saw-parts-c-7931_8000_8001.html Looks like this is also a Ryobi SC163VS 16" Scroll Saw interesting.
  14. That's cool. https://www.xyron.com/creative-station/ Now that is on the list of things I didn't know that I wanted till I saw it.
  15. Talking about unconventional. I've been toying with the idea of trying something like a Sewing tracing tool. https://www.amazon.com/LUNARM-PCS-Tracing-Wheel-Professional/dp/B08941QJH8/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=pattern+tracing+wheel&qid=1617546313&sr=8-3
