What irritates me

along with an additional $400 a month just by calling 1-888-nnnn ."

These ads cost millions, been going on since November...

Who is paying for all these perks ?

You do if you fall for this scam 

Irritating that these are probably successful  hustles

There are tons of people out there trying to take advantage of the seniors . Not sure who believes this if it is true but they run ads way past the sign up period for SS and retiree's.

I agree us oldies are prime targets. I have had over 30 calls in the past month from city, county, state police asking for donations. While I support them and donate to fundraiser for specific members. This is ridiculous.

I talked to an insurance person I know and asked about it.  Yes, you can get the $148 added back IF YOU ARE ON MEDICAID.  The adds are just misleading!

It's not bad enough that they try to scam US elderly.
My supplemental insurance has increased premiums three times in less than a year!
They were relatively small increases but, I am beginning to look for a new insurance
provider and it's almost impossible to compare "apples to apples" as they say. 
The policies all have so many variables, it's hard to make an accurate assessment.

I have the United Health Care supplemental insurance. Might want to look into that. It is by AARP.

We have Kaiser with no supplemental at all. We've had it ever since I retired. We have very low copays and our meds are cheap. And they come via mail order.

Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate it.

That brings up another thing that irritates me. If I look at their web-sites and want to
enter just enough info so they can assess my health and then get a quote, OH, NO, CAN'T DO THAT!
An insurance rep will visit you and explain everything for you.
