LarryEA Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) Joe Namath and 10 other ads telling me, " I can get free dental and eye care, no co-pay, free rides and meals along with an additional $400 a month just by calling 1-888-nnnn ." These ads cost millions, been going on since November... Who is paying for all these perks ? You do if you fall for this scam Irritating that these are probably successful hustles ********** Just my opinion and not intended for consumption ************ Edited May 12, 2021 by LarryEA Quote
WayneMahler Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 There are tons of people out there trying to take advantage of the seniors . Not sure who believes this if it is true but they run ads way past the sign up period for SS and retiree's. amazingkevin 1 Quote
fredfret Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 I agree us oldies are prime targets. I have had over 30 calls in the past month from city, county, state police asking for donations. While I support them and donate to fundraiser for specific members. This is ridiculous. danny 1 Quote
GrampaJim Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) I talked to an insurance person I know and asked about it. Yes, you can get the $148 added back IF YOU ARE ON MEDICAID. The adds are just misleading! Edited May 21, 2021 by GrampaJim Quote
new2woodwrk Posted May 12, 2021 Report Posted May 12, 2021 I know you all know this, but the reality is: If it's on TV it's fake and a scam. amazingkevin 1 Quote
spirithorse Posted May 12, 2021 Report Posted May 12, 2021 It's not bad enough that they try to scam US elderly. My supplemental insurance has increased premiums three times in less than a year! They were relatively small increases but, I am beginning to look for a new insurance provider and it's almost impossible to compare "apples to apples" as they say. The policies all have so many variables, it's hard to make an accurate assessment. God Bless! Spirithorse WayneMahler and danny 2 Quote

It is by AARP. danny 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted May 21, 2021 Report Posted May 21, 2021 We have Kaiser with no supplemental at all. We've had it ever since I retired. We have very low copays and our meds are cheap. And they come via mail order. Quote
spirithorse Posted May 21, 2021 Report Posted May 21, 2021 Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate it. That brings up another thing that irritates me. If I look at their web-sites and want to enter just enough info so they can assess my health and then get a quote, OH, NO, CAN'T DO THAT! An insurance rep will visit you and explain everything for you. God Bless! Spirithorse new2woodwrk 1 Quote
